Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partnering

Location: Remote, Canada; candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.

Salary: CAD 150,000–180,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead Human Resources Business Partners and provide HR leadership and expertise to senior managers, hiring managers, and employees.
• Develop, implement, and enforce employment policies, procedures, HR strategies, and programs aligned with company goals.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, retention, labor relations, talent management, compensation, performance management, and organizational diagnosis.
• Partner with the VP of HR Business Partnering and Projects on M&A initiatives and participate in North American and global HR strategic projects.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and advise management on required actions.
• Direct assigned HR functions, motivate teams, manage change, resolve problems, and build partnerships across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of leadership HR experience in a Director-level HR Business Partner role or above.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience consulting for diverse workforces across multiple disciplines and time zones in Canada and the US.
• Advanced English proficiency, basic mathematical knowledge, and advanced reasoning skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HR principles and practices, including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, and performance management.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, hirify.global policies and procedures, ethical practices, and global and cultural awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and professional communication skills; ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
• Ability to lead through influence, manage change, direct problem-solving, safeguard confidential information, and demonstrate strong business acumen.

Nice to have

• Experience managing HR in a unionized organization.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration combined with the required experience.
• PHR or SPHR certification.
