Buyer - Team Sports

Location: On-site in North York, Ontario, Canada.

Salary: CAD 54,075–70,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, shipment tracking, accurate data entry, and resolution of logistics bottlenecks.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent material shortages and excess dead stock while anticipating future needs.
• Manage departmental budgets, audit vendor invoices, and support strong return on company spending.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Production to align procurement activities with business and internal customer needs.
• Conduct ethical sourcing audits covering supplier labor practices and environmental impact.
• Identify and resolve straightforward supply chain issues using standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in buying, purchasing, or a related procurement role.
• Knowledge of purchasing techniques, logistical supply chain management, vendor selection processes, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data trends, supplier performance, and invoice details.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer service capabilities for maintaining vendor partnerships.
• Interest in sports and enthusiasm for sports activities.
