Sr. Sourcing Specialist (Software)

Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $72,160–$108,240, depending on education, experience, skills, geographical location, and internal and external market alignment.

What you will do

• Manage ongoing relationships between Engineering and Development and third-party technology suppliers.
• Ensure supplier and company obligations are properly fulfilled.
• Negotiate agreements that meet organizational cost and return objectives.
• Manage costs through contract negotiation and detailed needs analysis.
• Ensure third-party technology usage complies with acceptable-use policies and the company’s commercial, intellectual property, contractual, and operational risk tolerance.
• Monitor the supplier landscape and recommend responses to acquisitions, product changes, and strategic direction changes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in finance, procurement, engineering, or legal within the software industry, including contract negotiations and vendor outreach.
• Self-directed approach and ability to proactively manage concurrent assignments.
• Demonstrated business acumen and judgment.
• Proven ability to work in a highly matrixed, influence-based organizational structure.
• University degree.

Nice to have

• Experience in the enterprise software market or adjacent technology industries.
• Experience in software or services sourcing, procurement, or vendor management.
• Background in finance, engineering, or legal.
