Strategic Sourcing Manager - Indirect Sourcing

Location: Hybrid in Richmond, British Columbia or Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Base salary: CAD $86,000–$134,000 annually

What you will do

• Execute end-to-end purchasing activities for indirect goods and services, including strategic sourcing, analysis, negotiations, and contract management.
• Support capital expenditure sourcing through technical RFQs, equipment vendor negotiations, and coordination with engineering and operations stakeholders.
• Design and implement RFP, RFQ, and RFI sourcing events; assess bids, quotations, proposals, and tenders; and recommend or award suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal business units to define requirements and recommend suitable suppliers.
• Negotiate specifications, contract terms, and conditions while maintaining supplier relationships and managing renewals and expiries.
• Perform total cost of ownership analysis and maintain compliance with applicable rules, regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience, including demonstrated expertise in pricing and contract negotiation and ownership of RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes.
• Expertise in capital expenditure (CapEx) sourcing.
• Experience sourcing manufacturing and IT equipment.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Undergraduate degree.

Nice to have

• High-tech industry background.
• SCMP or another supply chain or purchasing certification.
• Exposure to SAP.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude.
