SAP Techno-Functional Vertex Sr. Analyst (SAP FICO)

What you will do

• Own functional and technical delivery and support for SAP Finance, Controlling, and Tax initiatives across hirify.global North America's SAP landscape.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Tax stakeholders to analyze, redesign, and implement FICO and Tax configurations and processes; manage the Tax application from a Product Owner perspective.
• Troubleshoot integration gaps between SAP systems and Vertex, and work with the AMS provider to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Lead required Support Packs and Enhancement Packs and ensure processes follow SAP Finance and Accounting best practices.
• Establish and monitor project and operations KPIs, including plan versus actual, deliverable status, SLAs, risks, and issues.
• Support strategic initiatives and collaborate with distributed delivery teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration experience. SAP tax configuration experience is a plus.
• Experience monitoring and reviewing Vendor Recon configurations and enhancements.
• 3–4 full life cycle SAP implementations as a hands-on and lead contributor, covering design, build, testing, and support, with at least one implementation including tax setup.
• 6+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience with integrated applications.
• 5–8 years of experience with Support Packs, Enhancement Packs, and version upgrades.
• Experience integrating FI/CO with other SAP modules.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, write functional specifications, and work with developers on reports, interfaces, enhancements, Fiori apps, and SAP tax reporting.
• Understanding of month-end close, year-end close, and financial reporting.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• SAP or Vertex certification.
• Experience with Vertex O Series and Vertex reporting requirements.
• Ability to work with large, distributed onshore and offshore teams with diverse competencies.
• Ability to work at a fast pace under high pressure.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong business process knowledge.
