Lead Functional Analyst (SAP FI/CO)

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States; onsite role.

Base salary: $105,000–$165,000 USD annually, plus an annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Act as a liaison between IT, business leaders, assigned business units, vendors, business users, application developers, and senior IT leadership.
• Lead functional and technical design, configuration, development, continuous improvement, deployment, and support for SAP financial systems globally.
• Design end-to-end ERP architectures, integrations, specifications, prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and buy-versus-build evaluations.
• Develop and execute infrastructure, security, functional, technical, unit, and integration test plans, including test cases and test data.
• Lead SAP and finance-process training, oversee junior system and business analysts, and support change and service management procedures.
• Manage project schedules, estimates, risks, priorities, reporting, requirements, business solutions, continuous improvements, metrics, and SOX and internal/external audit support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required; equivalent additional work experience may substitute for the degree.
• High energy, confidence, effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to drive action for daily and project tasks.
• Availability for 24x7 on-call rotation to handle off-hour system emergencies.
• 7+ years of IT experience supporting SAP FI/CO modules and integrations with SD and MM.
• Functional or technical expertise in SAP General Ledger, Closing, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Elements, Profit Center Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Investment Management in SAP ECC.
• Experience with small- to large-scale SAP ERP implementations across organizations and geographies, including local regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of web services, SDLC, Agile software development, waterfall project management, and agile process methodologies.
• Strong analytical and project management skills, including translating customer business needs into application and operational requirements.
• Effective oral and written communication with internal customers, IT associates, third-party vendors, and senior IT leadership; ability to prepare and deliver organized presentations.
• Experience with IT ticketing and support systems such as ServiceNow and Jira in a Service Desk or Help Desk environment.

Nice to have

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• SAP S/4HANA expertise.
• PMP and/or CSM certification.
