Techno-Functional Analyst (SAP)

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States; onsite role with 24x7 on-call rotation for off-hour system emergencies.

Base salary: $105,000–$165,000 USD per year, plus participation in an annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders, IT leadership, business units, and vendors to support business and technology initiatives.
• Lead technical design, configuration, development, support, continuous improvements, and global SAP deployments for financial systems.
• Develop and execute infrastructure, security, technical development, functional configuration, unit, and end-to-end test plans.
• Design ERP prototypes, integrations, architecture, specifications, and RICEW solutions based on business requirements.
• Evaluate third-party software and service providers through proof-of-concept and feasibility activities.
• Provide SAP training, project estimation and tracking, risk analysis, process improvement, service management, and audit support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required; equivalent additional work experience may be considered instead.
• Manufacturing background required.
• Availability for a 24x7 on-call rotation to handle off-hour system emergencies required.
• 3+ years of IT experience supporting SAP FI/CO modules and integration with SD and MM.
• 5+ years of ABAP programming experience with SAP financial configuration, integrations, and related processes.
• 5+ years of experience developing RICEW components: reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows.
• Strong understanding of accounting and close processes through SAP, including P2P, O2C, R2R, and tracing transactions from source documents to the G/L.
• Technical understanding of SAP databases and tables for General Ledger, closing, tax, A/R, AP, cost elements, profit center accounting, fixed assets, cost center accounting, internal orders, product costing, and investment management in SAP ECC.
• Knowledge of SAP data and development objects, CDS views, SAP tables across FI/CO, MM, and SD, table structures and data, and reading and debugging ABAP programs.
• Experience with small- to large-scale SAP ERP implementations across organizations and geographies, including local regulatory requirements; knowledge of SDLC, Agile, waterfall, and project management methodologies.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, presentation, and business-requirements translation skills.
• Experience with IT ticketing and support systems such as ServiceNow and Jira in a Service Desk or Help Desk environment.
• Effective communication with internal customers, IT associates, third-party vendors, and senior IT leadership.

Nice to have

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of IDocs, batch scheduling, web services, WinShuttle, SAPscript/Smart Forms, and BADI development.
• SAP S/4HANA expertise.
• PMP and/or CSM certification.
