SAP Technical Consultant (ABAP)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support custom SAP enhancements, integrations, and reports.
• Analyze requirements, create technical designs, write ABAP code, perform unit testing, and tune performance.
• Build and maintain ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDPs, OData services, and HANA-optimized solutions.
• Integrate SAP systems with Fiori applications and external systems using IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and web services.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide troubleshooting, documentation, transport management, and post-go-live support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional ABAP development experience with significant S/4HANA experience; 6+ years listed for the position.
• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDPs, HANA-optimized ABAP, OData, and Fiori integration.
• Experience with enhancement frameworks, including BADIs, user exits, and implicit or explicit enhancements.
• Experience with SAP module data structures such as FI/CO, SD, MM, or PP, plus performance and HANA diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, SAP transport management, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with S/4HANA conversions or greenfield implementations.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, ABAP RAP, or steampunk.
• Hands-on Fiori/UI5 development and familiarity with SAP CPI / Integration Suite.
• SAP-certified ABAP developer credentials.
