Manager, Accounting

Location: Miami, Florida, United States; in-office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday, with work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

What you will do

• Advise corporate and brand stakeholders on technical accounting policies, contract reviews, accounting memos, and new accounting standards and regulations.
• Support quarterly external reporting, including 10-K, 10-Q, UK reports, earnings releases, auditor requests, and internal certifications.
• Monitor global accounting compliance across brands and corporate functions, including environmental credits, balance sheets, journal entries, IFRS-to-US GAAP adjustments, and fixed assets.
• Communicate accounting policy issues and improvement recommendations with directors, VPs, brands, and external auditors.
• Create and maintain global accounting policies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve consistency.
• Deliver special projects focused on process improvement, automation, and AI.

Requirements

• Licensed Certified Public Accountant or currently pursuing CPA.
• Intermediate knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• At least 5 years of total experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent experience at a large SEC company.
• At least 1 year of experience with similar scope and responsibilities.
• Ability to research and interpret technical accounting guidance and draft technical accounting memos.
• Ability to understand the relative importance of accounting matters in different contexts.
• Demonstrated track record of process improvements and implementing best practices.
• Strong relationship-building, client service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including the ability to explain complex issues to different audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work effectively as a team player.
