Technical Accounting Manager (US GAAP)

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; professional corporate office with part-time remote work if desired. Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required.

Salary: $105,100–$164,400 per year.

hirify.global operates a global organization requiring technical accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting governance support.

What you will do

• Provide accounting guidance for acquisitions, divestitures, financing activities, complex intercompany funds flows, equity transactions, and business contracts.
• Support the integration of acquired companies into accounting and reporting systems and processes.
• Review forecast models and coordinate valuation work for goodwill, intangible assets, and other assets and liabilities.
• Research US GAAP requirements, assess emerging accounting pronouncements, and support implementation of new accounting standards.
• Maintain internal controls over financial reporting, segregation-of-duties mitigation, control documentation, compliance monitoring, deficiency assessment, and remediation.
• Lead or participate in accounting projects, software implementations, process improvements, audits, statutory financial statement preparation, and general ledger governance.

Requirements

• Strong technical accounting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA certification.
• 6–12 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry experience with progressive responsibility in accounting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, research, business acumen, strategic thinking, attention to detail, planning, prioritization, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate with and influence finance and business partners at all organizational levels, work through ambiguity, build productive relationships, and innovate processes and controls with technology.
• Proficiency with personal computers and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
• Ability to sit and work at a desk or personal computer for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

• Internal Control over Financial Reporting experience.
• MBA.
• SAP S4/HANA and OneStream experience.
• Spanish language skills.
