Accounting Manager, Investment Management

Location: Remote/work from home; salary range applies to candidates hired in the listed location of Atlanta, GA, United States.

Annual base salary: $96,000–$120,000 USD, plus potential incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Prepare and review legal entity financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, and Proxy/SAI investment fund data requirements.
• Lead regulatory compliance activities and represent Voya Investment Management before external constituencies, board committees, and auditors.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for annual incentive, deferred, equity-based, and long-term incentive compensation programs.
• Develop accrual methodologies and maintain compliance with accounting guidance, SOX, internal policies, and statutory requirements.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Compensation, Finance, operational leaders, and auditors to ensure accurate and transparent financial operations.
• Manage workload prioritization, coaching, mentoring, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business/Administration.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience in a complex operation, particularly in financial reporting, expense management, and monthly ledger closes.
• 5 years of experience managing a corporate project, function, or division.
• Experience leading process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current generally accepted accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Must meet the qualifications to sit for the FINRA Series 27 Exam.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with Oracle General Ledger, including the expense allocation module, and Microsoft Suite products.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or MBA.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience in financial services, asset management, insurance, or investment management.
