Business Operations Lead (AI)

hirify.global builds an AI-powered computer-aided design suite for molecules, training frontier models for biochemical structure and interaction and providing a computational workspace for drug discovery.

What you will do

• Own complex operational problems end to end as a trusted partner to founders and functional leaders.
• Renegotiate major contracts and ensure compute spending matches actual business needs.
• Stand up new functions and leave stronger systems behind.
• Manage practical operations such as office moves, supplier quotes, executive dinners, and recruiting support.
• Identify operational friction and pain points, then resolve them quickly.
• Help build the operations team and potentially progress toward running a function.

Requirements

• Generalist profile with commercial instinct, strong ownership, and a bias for action.
• Experience operating and owning outcomes inside a company, rather than only providing advice.
• Ability to build the model behind a major contract and negotiate it independently.
• Ability to handle both strategic and highly hands-on operational work, including obtaining quotes and organizing executive events.
• Comfort working with founders, functional leaders, unfamiliar stakeholders, and varied business situations.
• Ability to use AI to move faster while evaluating its output critically.
• Prior experience may include a founder’s office, an early business operations role at a high-growth startup, ownership of cost and supplier decisions, deployment strategy, or founding a company.
• Consulting or banking experience is relevant only when followed by substantial in-company ownership of outcomes.

Nice to have

• Technical or scientific background.
• Biotech experience is a plus but is not required.
