Trust & Safety Policy Lead (AI)

Location: San Francisco or NYC; on-site, with in-office work 5 days per week

Base salary: $158,880–$200,000 per year, before equity

Suno is a consumer entertainment company building an AI music platform that enables users to create songs at scale.

What you will do

• Own the Trust & Safety policy portfolio, including content and behavior policies, enforcement standards, and the policy roadmap.
• Translate principles into machine-enforceable decision criteria, model thresholds, labeling taxonomies, and reviewer guidance for consistent outcomes.
• Develop policies for artist voice impersonation, rights-adjacent abuse, synthetic content disclosure, prompt-level misuse, fraud, bots, and identity issues.
• Convert DSA, OSA, and emerging AI-content regulatory obligations into operational policy and audit-ready documentation with Legal.
• Run risk assessment, stakeholder review, launch guidance, enforcement calibration, and post-launch measurement.
• Define escalation and edge-case frameworks, publish community-facing policy materials, and partner with Product, Engineering, ML, Comms, and Legal before feature launches.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in trust & safety, platform policy, or integrity work, including 3+ years owning a policy domain at a UGC or generative AI platform.
• A portfolio of policies that were written, shipped, and improved based on post-launch data, including risk assessment and enforcement design.
• Demonstrated experience making policy machine-enforceable through decision trees, model threshold input, labeling taxonomies, or reviewer guidance that improved measurable consistency.
• Fluency in DSA, OSA, and emerging AI-content regulatory regimes, with experience converting obligations into operational requirements.
• Working knowledge of music rights, IP, or media licensing sufficient to write policy with Legal.
• Experience influencing Product, Engineering, and Legal to adopt policy positions they initially did not support.
• Ability to write precisely for operators, executives, and regulators and clearly explain policies publicly.

• Music, media, or IP-adjacent platform experience and familiarity with rights-matching abuse patterns.
• Direct exposure to DSA, OSA, or emerging AI-content regulatory regimes as operational requirements.
