Manufacturing Engineer I (CNC)

Location: On-site in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States. The role is subject to ITAR eligibility requirements and is open only to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Salary: $69,500–$86,900 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, production flow, assembly methods, production equipment, and tooling strategies.
• Use data analysis, brainstorming, and analytical techniques to identify cost savings, expand capabilities, and support engineering decisions.
• Troubleshoot production problems, identify bottlenecks and quality issues, and propose design improvements.
• Support production control systems, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control, and employee training.
• Participate in lean activities, including kaizen and 5S events, and collaborate with quality engineering on process improvements.
• Design experiments, interpret statistical data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 0–1 year of relevant professional engineering experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information and data to all organizational levels.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with familiarity with FMEA, Pareto analysis, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail, including experience managing project documents and producing quality content.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and remain self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage time effectively within defined project deliverables and time frames.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the role, including occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, and working near manufacturing equipment, noise, chemicals, and other industrial hazards.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Kaizen and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Knowledge of CAD software, machining, and molding technology.
• Background or working knowledge of machining and/or injection molding.
• Experience working in a continuous improvement environment.
