Senior Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Machining (CNC Machining)

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 annually

What you will do

• Serve as a technical expert for manufacturing processes, machining methods, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support CNC turning, milling, Swiss machining, grinding, EDM, and other machining technologies.
• Develop, optimize, sustain, validate, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions to improve process capability and product quality.
• Evaluate tooling, fixturing, machine utilization, and process flow to improve efficiency and reduce manufacturing risk.
• Support new product introductions, process transfers, manufacturing readiness, capital equipment projects, technology evaluations, and manufacturing improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or an Associate degree in a technical field with at least 9 years of relevant experience; or at least 13 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on experience in a CNC machining environment.
• Strong CAD/CAM programming experience and knowledge of machining process development.
• Experience supporting multiple machining technologies, including CNC turning, milling, Swiss machining, grinding, EDM, or multi-tasking machines.
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, process optimization, and root cause problem-solving.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing process improvements in a production environment.
• Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production teams while providing technical guidance on manufacturing best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting complex CNC machining operations in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Experience with capital equipment implementation, manufacturing technology upgrades, or process automation initiatives.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
