Senior Consultant, AI Strategy & Program Execution (AI)

Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work from home or the office based on business, client, and individual needs. Other location: Toronto, Ontario.

Base pay: CAD 100,000–143,000 per year; eligible employees may also participate in discretionary incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead structured analysis of AI priorities and ambiguous challenges, developing options, recommendations, strategies, frameworks, business cases, and roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities, gaps, overlaps, dependencies, reuse, consolidation, and standardization across the AI portfolio.
• Lead an assigned AI workstream by defining deliverables, milestones, timelines, workplans, and actions.
• Coordinate business, technology, architecture, security, governance, operational, and technical solution stakeholders to deliver priorities.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, escalations, progress, and outcomes while adapting plans to changing requirements and constraints.
• Facilitate working sessions and workshops and prepare executive presentations, decision materials, strategic updates, and recommendations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, technology strategy or transformation, product strategy, program leadership, or a similar role combining strategy and execution.
• Demonstrated program management experience, including workplans, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and cross-functional delivery.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, conduct analysis, develop recommendations, and translate recommendations into action.
• Experience developing strategies, business cases, operating models, roadmaps, executive presentations, or similar strategic deliverables.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, defining what should be done and ensuring it gets done.
• Demonstrated bias toward action and ability to independently move work forward in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting AI, automation, analytics, data, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Background in management consulting, internal consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, or strategy and operations.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture, software delivery, data, cloud, cybersecurity, and technology governance concepts.
• Familiarity with software or technology product lifecycles, including adoption, governance, and implementation.
• Experience preparing executive presentations, dashboards, and status reports.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coordinating work across Agile teams. Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PMP, or related certifications are assets but not required.
