Principal Product Manager (Health)

Location: United Kingdom, within reasonable travelling distance of a hirify.global office in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London or Bristol. The role requires flexibility to work at a hirify.global office or client location at least 2 days per week and to travel between sites. Relocation support of up to £8,000 is available, subject to terms and conditions.

What you will do

• Define strategic vision, roadmaps, business models and objectives for health-sector product portfolios.
• Represent the product function at executive level and influence senior health and care stakeholders.
• Establish portfolio delivery, risk management and performance frameworks across complex clinical and data environments.
• Improve user and patient research standards and ensure patient needs guide product decisions.
• Define data, AI and innovation strategies aligned with healthcare standards, clinical safety and ethical technology adoption.
• Mentor Senior Product Managers and leaders while building capability across the health product profession.

Requirements

• Recognised expertise in Product at principal consultant level, with strategic leadership across portfolios or programmes.
• Proven strategic experience working with major health and care organisations, such as NHSE, DHSC, NHSBSA, ICBs, Primary Care or Secondary Care.
• Ability to translate healthcare policies, market analysis and emerging trends, including the clinical application of AI, into strategic decisions and product investment areas.
• Experience architecting and leading change strategies aligned with long-term health organisational goals, including processes, tools and cultural norms.
• Ability to build portfolio-level strategies, establish metrics frameworks, evaluate patient outcomes and initiate data-driven strategic pivots.
• Ability to influence organisational structures, processes and culture to support cross-departmental collaboration and psychological safety across NHS boundaries.
• Ability to anticipate threats and opportunities and embed resilience, clinical safety and patient data privacy into strategy and investment.
• Experience leading collaboration with internal teams, clinical experts, external partners and senior stakeholders, including presenting evidence-based business cases.
• Ability to champion and embed GDS and NHS Service standards at organisational and portfolio level and guide products through service assessments and complex regulatory environments.
