Associate Principal & COAA Scientific AI Lead - Patient-Centered Solutions - UK and EU (AI)

What you will do

• Own the vision, roadmap, prioritization, lifecycle management, backlog, requirements, and release readiness for AI-enabled COA selection and COA Accelerator capabilities.
• Translate COA strategy workflows into product capabilities, user journeys, requirements, outputs, quality standards, success criteria, and delivery plans.
• Define AI-supported workflows for therapy area and indication review, evidence retrieval, COA and endpoint recommendation, assessment schedules, regulatory precedent assessment, expert review, and report generation.
• Partner with COA scientists, HEOR experts, clients, sponsors, engineers, data teams, UX, security, legal, compliance, commercial, and strategy stakeholders.
• Define quality criteria for AI outputs, including factuality, retrieval relevance, citation accuracy, clinical usefulness, consistency, escalation triggers, traceability, and source inspection.
• Support prototypes, pilots, demos, business cases, training, adoption planning, product positioning, packaging, and continuous product refinement.

Requirements

• Degree in life sciences, health outcomes, clinical research, public health, biomedical sciences, data science, product management, technology, or a related field.
• Experience in COA strategy consulting, HEOR consulting, clinical outcomes research, eCOA, clinical trial technology, regulatory strategy, patient experience research, or medical evidence generation.
• Ability to translate complex workflows into product requirements, user journeys, and delivery plans.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across scientific experts, senior leaders, commercial teams, client-facing stakeholders, and technical contributors.
• Ability to balance scientific rigor, user needs, commercial value, technical feasibility, governance requirements, and delivery constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication, prioritization, pragmatic trade-off decision-making, and independent collaboration in remote or hybrid environments.
• Experience working with technical teams, including AI/ML engineers, data engineers, software engineers, UX designers, security teams, and platform teams.
• Experience in product management, AI product management, data product management, digital health, clinical technology, life sciences software, SaaS platforms, or technology-enabled consulting.
• Experience with agile delivery, backlog management, roadmap planning, cross-functional release management, acceptance criteria, usage data, client feedback, adoption metrics, and qualitative insights.
• Fluency in English and significant experience leveraging AI tools for work.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-enabled products, LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge management platforms, evidence synthesis tools, or clinical decision-support products.
• Understanding of AI product risks, including overreliance, hallucination, weak source grounding, unclear confidence levels, and the need for expert review.
• Experience with proprietary, licensed, regulated, client-specific, or permissioned content and knowledge repositories.
• Experience or willingness to build products for internal enterprise users and external client users.
• Comfort with Teams, Zoom, PowerPoint, whiteboarding tools, and product management platforms.
