Senior Business Analyst (User-Centred Design)

Location: United Kingdom, within reasonable travelling distance of an office in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London or Bristol. Hybrid work requires openness to working at a hirify.global office or client site for at least 2 days per week, with flexibility to travel. Relocation support of up to £8,000 is available.

What you will do

• Work with designers to create and test early product versions that solve user problems.
• Lead user journey and process mapping, analyse the current landscape, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Translate user research into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead workshops and collaborative sessions with clients and delivery teams.
• Build stakeholder relationships and support user-centred design best practice.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Managers on prioritised backlogs, Agile processes, outcomes, and team development.

Requirements

• Expertise in business analysis within a user-centred design environment.
• Proven ability to work with designers, influence research planning, and question research methods.
• Familiarity with service design standards, including Government Digital Service standards or equivalents.
• Experience gathering requirements through varied methods and selecting the appropriate method for each project.
• Ability to analyse data from multiple sources, including website analytics and research findings, to support decision-making.
• Experience planning, running and adjusting Agile ways of working for projects.

• Ability to help set project goals and ensure work contributes to them.
• Experience contributing to professional groups and providing feedback to others.
