Senior Business Analyst - Life and Pensions

Location: Hybrid work model; London (1 Ropemaker Street) and Essex/Basildon, United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for Life & Pensions initiatives, owning requirements quality, traceability, and analysis deliverables across the project lifecycle.
• Lead discovery and due diligence for new initiatives, defining scope and business outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Elicit, document, and validate detailed requirements and user stories, and facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Act as the interface between clients, business operations, product teams, architects, technology, and delivery leads while managing dependencies.
• Assess operational, customer, and regulatory impacts and support readiness for implementation.
• Produce process maps, current- and future-state models, use cases, and other governed project deliverables; mentor junior team members and contribute to the BA Practice.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Business Analyst independently leading analysis workstreams within complex change, client delivery, or transformation programmes.
• Strong practical knowledge of Life & Pensions policy administration and servicing, including product rules, policy lifecycle events, operational processes, and customer impacts.
• Proficiency in business analysis methodologies across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across business, technical, and client-facing environments.
• Confidence facilitating workshops, communicating clearly, documenting outputs, and influencing decision-making.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in fast-paced, change-heavy environments.
• Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and manage ambiguity, with a focus on continuous improvement, quality outcomes, and business value.

Nice to have

• Experience with Term Insurance, Whole of Life Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Income Protection Insurance, Group Life Insurance, Endowments, Onshore Investment Bonds, or Offshore Investment Bonds.
