Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (React)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with two required office days per week.

What you will do

• Develop, test, prototype, ship, and support advertising and marketing products used by restaurant partners and diners.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions, create high-level designs, and manage projects ranging from small to large.
• Improve existing applications and build new user experiences with modern frontend tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, and Java backend engineers.
• Deliver initiatives that improve experiences for restaurateurs and diners while supporting business revenue.
• Contribute ideas, share experience, and help strengthen team practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and React.
• Experience creating high-quality web experiences with semantic HTML and CSS.
• Experience refactoring code, optimizing software, debugging, and writing tests with strong code coverage.
• Experience with unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and object-oriented design.
• Ability to improve end-user and developer experiences.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with developers, designers, and product owners at all career levels.
• Ability to work independently, ask for support when needed, and collaborate effectively with a pairing partner.
