Frontend Engineering Intern (React/TypeScript)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada; remote work means working from the candidate's home country. The internship runs for 4 months, from January to April 2027. Travel for in-person engagement may be required.

What you will do

• Contribute to frontend features in the hirify.global Admin Console using React, TypeScript, CSS, and established design-system patterns.
• Work with engineers, product managers, and designers to turn customer and administrator needs into simple, accessible experiences.
• Write maintainable code, tests, and documentation; participate in code reviews, debugging, and quality improvements.
• Improve provisioning workflows including onboarding, invitations, user-status visibility, activation, provisioning-pipeline visibility, and error handling.
• Investigate problems, communicate progress, and deliver incremental improvements safely.

Requirements

• Willingness to take on new challenges, follow work through to completion, ask questions, learn from mistakes, and seek better ways of working.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work successfully as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of React and familiarity with TypeScript and CSS fundamentals.
• Comfort with HTML, browser behavior, accessibility, Git, and learning established patterns in an existing codebase.
• Experience building a small web project through coursework, an internship, personal work, or open source contributions.

Nice to have

• React and TypeScript experience beyond coursework, including personal, school, or open source projects.
• Familiarity with design systems or component libraries and with Figma or a similar design tool.
• Exposure to frontend testing tools such as Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Understanding of API integration, asynchronous JavaScript, or backend concepts.
• Interest in security, identity, access management, or building tools for administrators.
