Purchasing Analyst (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Maintain material coverage and provide purchasing support for three Sanimex plants to prevent shortages and production interruptions.
• Manage purchasing follow-up from demand review and purchase-order placement through supplier confirmation, delivery, and issue resolution.
• Monitor open orders, shortages, supplier commitments, delivery exceptions, and supply risks, escalating issues that require timely decisions.
• Coordinate supplier recovery actions and urgent plant requirements based on production impact, lead times, inventory, and purchasing priorities.
• Prepare dashboards and recurring reports covering material coverage, exceptions, required actions, and purchasing performance.
• Partner with Plant Operations, Planning, Finance, suppliers, and other stakeholders to protect production schedules and customer commitments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in purchasing, material planning, supply chain, or supplier management within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP purchasing transactions, material-requirement analysis, open-order analysis, supplier-performance follow-up, dashboards, reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical judgment, urgency, attention to detail, organization, accountability, negotiation, supplier communication, cross-functional collaboration, data discipline, risk identification, prioritization, and problem solving.
• Ability to anticipate supply risks, follow through on commitments, communicate issues clearly, escalate promptly, manage multiple priorities, and use data to drive timely action.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting multiple plants and managing competing operational priorities.
• Bilingual English-Spanish skills.
