Sr Manager - Virtualization Engineering

Location: Onsite at the Easton Oval office in Columbus, OH, United States.

What you will do

• Manage IT Operations and Infrastructure Services activities through staff and subordinate managers or supervisors.
• Own VMware cloud foundation, virtual desktop infrastructure, and automation engineering for virtualization platforms.
• Develop strategic direction for current and future IT services and participate in planning with IT senior management and business leaders.
• Plan and manage complex, strategic, enterprise-wide projects while coordinating staff and resources.
• Ensure availability SLAs are met, failed customer interactions are minimized, and supported systems remain technically current.
• Maintain support processes, fiscal accountability, financial budgets, and technical expertise for assigned functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ additional years of experience in IT infrastructure.
• 10+ years of related experience in client and server infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Technical competence and the ability to stay current with changing industry trends.
• Experience applying standards, policies, and best practices in server and desktop virtualization.
• Strong vendor management and vendor negotiation skills.
• Experience with deployment and system build automation.
• Ability to gather requirements, initiate new efforts, drive teams to completion, and implement continuous process improvements.
• Strong project management, technology, analytics, diagnostics, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Management and leadership skills to attract, retain, motivate, and influence high-performing cross-functional teams.
• Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience in the financial industry.
• Experience working with the IT PMO and technical and application teams on project estimation, budgeting, accounting, and delivery requirements.
• Great aptitude for technology and demonstrated independent knowledge.
