Sr. Manager, Hardware Engineering

Location: Onsite, primarily from an HPE office

Salary: USD 174,000–352,500 annual base salary in California; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead an organization of subordinate managers and individual contributors developing electrical and electronic hardware solutions.
• Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, costs, resources, and risks across multiple projects and programs.
• Partner with program management, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives on status, escalation, and strategic decisions.
• Manage outsourced partners and suppliers, including deliverables, quality, schedules, costs, and collaboration.
• Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
• Hire, coach, evaluate, and develop direct reports while driving performance standards.

Requirements

• First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 10 or more years of related work experience, including 5 or more years of people management experience.
• Advanced leadership, coaching, team-building, conflict-resolution, and management skills.
• Advanced project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Experience managing human capital across geographies and partnering with suppliers and outsourced resources.
• Mastery of English and the local language required.
