Data Science Manager (AI)

Location: Concord Office, Massachusetts, United States; onsite leadership role for the Concord-based data science team.

Salary: $165,000–$200,000 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Own strategy and roadmaps for AdTech, auctions, and the shared experimentation platform, aligning priorities with business goals and long-term technical direction.
• Lead, mentor, hire, and develop experienced Data Scientists based in Concord while maintaining technical excellence, autonomy, and accountability.
• Set technical direction across modeling, experimentation, and machine learning solutions, contributing hands-on to high-impact problems.
• Evolve and simplify the experimentation platform with scalable shared capabilities and clear boundaries between infrastructure and use-case logic.
• Guide the development, evaluation, and productionization of ML solutions that improve user experience, business performance, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders to manage dependencies and deliver complex initiatives from concept to production.

Requirements

• Strong foundations in statistics, machine learning, software engineering, and systems design, with a track record of solving complex real-world problems; demonstrated capability is valued more than academic credentials.
• Experience delivering impactful ML solutions in production and understanding related technical decisions, trade-offs, and business outcomes.
• Meaningful people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and developing experienced technical talent while contributing hands-on.
• Ability to lead across organizational boundaries, build alignment, navigate competing priorities, and drive outcomes through collaboration.
• Strong ownership, judgment, and systems thinking, including the ability to assess technical, cost, reliability, and risk trade-offs and influence senior stakeholders.
• Fluency with AI-assisted workflows and the ability to critically evaluate their outputs and limitations.
• Curiosity, humility, collaboration, commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to inspire these qualities in others.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, Polars, CometML, Arize, Docker, Airflow, Trino, and Git/GitHub.
• Familiarity with Agile practices such as sprint planning and team ceremonies.
