Lead Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Alpharetta, Georgia, United States

What you will do

• Work throughout the software development life cycle to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement, and validate applications.
• Analyze existing applications and formulate logic for new applications, including procedures, flowcharts, coding, and debugging.
• Maintain and use application and programming documentation during code development.
• Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
• Create deliverables and develop application implementation plans throughout the life cycle.

Requirements

• Broad understanding of a variety of programming languages and software architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux distributions, including one or more of Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL, or Amazon Linux.
• Database design familiarity with DDL and DML for one or more of Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, IMS, or DB2.
• Experience with one or more back-end technologies: Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Mainframe COBOL, or Mainframe Assembler.
• Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, or CICS.
• Experience with web technologies or frameworks such as Node.js, React.js, Angular, or Redux.
• Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Webpack, Babel, Gulp, or Eclipse.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Broad expertise or unique knowledge used to contribute to company objectives and goals in creative and effective ways.
• Ability to work on significant and unique issues requiring independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
• Experience creating formal networks involving coordination among groups.
