Location: New York, NY; preferred locations are New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, and Boston. Ability to travel to client sites as needed. Candidates must be able to verify their legal right to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Managing Consultant: $158,000–$180,000 annual salary; Senior Managing Consultant: $190,000–$210,000 annual salary. Job title and level depend on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Lead full-stack engineering workstreams from workflow discovery through production handover, coordinating application design, dependencies, risks, and delivery estimates with client teams.
• Build responsive TypeScript interfaces with React or comparable frameworks and develop Python or Node.js APIs and backend services connecting workflows to AI capabilities, business rules, data products, and client systems.
• Implement human-review workflows with evidence displays, editable outputs, approvals, exception queues, escalation paths, and expert accountability.
• Build authentication, role-based access controls, secure sessions or tokens, audit trails, and permissions enforced at service, data, and interface layers.
• Integrate enterprise platforms and AI services through APIs, event-driven patterns, streaming, asynchronous jobs, queues, retries, duplicate-request handling, and robust recovery behavior.
• Establish automated testing, accessibility checks, deployment pipelines, monitoring, support procedures, reusable components, and digital assets while mentoring engineers and collaborating with data, AI, change, risk, vendor, and client teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of applicable experience is required for Managing Consultant; at least 6 years is required for Senior Managing Consultant.
• Senior, hands-on experience delivering full-stack applications into production; equivalent practical experience is accepted regardless of formal education or certification.
• Strong TypeScript skills and experience with React or comparable frontend frameworks, including state management, responsive interfaces, and accessible interaction design.
• Ability to build and test Python or Node.js APIs and backend services with persistence, validation, error handling, and external-system integrations.
• Experience implementing authentication, role-based authorization, secure session or token handling, audit logging, and permissions beyond the frontend.
• Ability to design reliable integrations and interactive workflows using REST or comparable APIs, streaming, queues, asynchronous processing, retries, and duplicate-request handling.
• Experience delivering applications with automated testing, version control, CI/CD, cloud deployment, monitoring, accessibility checks, and security checks.
• Ability to lead complex technical workstreams, mentor engineers, collaborate directly with client users and technology teams, explain design choices, and provide credible delivery estimates.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed and legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience building operational applications for financial services teams in lending, servicing, collections, payment disputes, or investment operations.
• Experience integrating AI services with source evidence, human approvals, feedback capture, and clear handling of uncertain or failed results.
• Experience connecting applications to enterprise identity providers, case-management platforms, document systems, or core financial services systems.
• Experience developing reusable component libraries or workflow accelerators and using client research or usage data to improve adoption and operational outcomes.
