Project Scheduler (Utilities)

Location: On-site in San Juan, Puerto Rico

What you will do

• Consult with project managers and technical experts to establish assignments, tasks, subtasks, and effective scheduling management systems.
• Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders while monitoring deadlines and schedule updates.
• Identify potential delays, facilitate timely interventions, and recommend actions to keep projects on track.
• Evaluate project performance and prepare progress reports, including schedule quality assessments and earned value analysis.
• Develop schedule-related reports covering earned value, cash flow forecasts, risks, and project progress.
• Document scheduling processes and maintain project records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field plus 5–8 years of related scheduling experience, or 9–12 years of relevant scheduling experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated experience with cost- and resource-loaded schedules.
• Ability to build schedules from an estimate, project diagram, or verbal scope of work.
• Experience with portfolio-level scheduling and extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
• In-depth knowledge of project scopes within the utilities industry.
• Advanced ability to evaluate schedule quality and project progress and facilitate interventions.
• Proficiency with PC software and mainframe applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, Asset Suite 8, and Primavera P6.

• Experience with solar and/or battery storage installations.
• Analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability.
• Business acumen and effective communication across internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to work with project schedule stakeholders to obtain timely schedule updates.
