Project Manager (Engineering)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, US; additional locations include Jacksonville, Orlando, Austin, Raleigh, Charlotte, Marietta, Roanoke, and Coraopolis, US. Flexible hybrid work is supported.

What you will do

• Lead engineering projects from concept development through construction completion, managing goals, timelines, budgets, resources, and quality.
• Manage and lead a team of 4–5 engineers while coordinating internal teams, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary system integration.
• Act as the primary client contact, provide project updates, manage expectations, address concerns, and conduct project meetings.
• Oversee engineering drawings, calculations, technical documents, permitting, building-code compliance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Track project financials, expenses, invoices, profitability, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Support business development through proposals, client presentations, new project pursuits, mentoring, and project closeout activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in design engineering, project management, or engineering consulting.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Deltek, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6.
• Experience identifying project risks, assessing potential impacts, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to guide teams through complex projects and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Experience mentoring technical staff and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of project delivery from planning and design through construction and closeout.
