SAP Funds Management/General Ledger Functional Consultant

Location: Remote; supports a large U.S. federal logistics, transportation, and financial-management client. Must be able to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance; active clearance preferred.

What you will do

• Architect, configure, document, and continuously improve SAP Funds Management and General Ledger solutions.
• Integrate SAP FM/GL with Financial Accounting, Controlling, Accounts Receivable, Transportation Management, Sales and Distribution, Asset Accounting, and USTRANSCOM enterprise applications.
• Gather business requirements, prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, scope and level-of-effort assessments, and solution designs.
• Conduct solution reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and Tier II and Tier III support for functional and integration issues.
• Support SAP enhancements, upgrades, new implementations, project delivery, and SAFe Agile ceremonies.
• Develop end-user training materials, conduct knowledge-transfer sessions, and document procedures, business processes, and system configurations.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least eight years of experience supporting SAP implementations, enhancements, operations, or maintenance.
• Strong experience configuring SAP Funds Management and General Ledger functionality.
• Experience configuring SAP financial modules and understanding cross-module integration points.
• Experience documenting business requirements, developing detailed functional specifications, and creating and maintaining system-configuration documentation.
• Experience testing SAP functionality against approved requirements and specifications.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client-facing, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, adaptability, and professional-presence skills.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.
• Familiarity with U.S. Department of the Treasury Government Invoicing processes.
• Experience in a SAFe Agile environment.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense, Department of War, or other federal financial-management systems and agencies.
• Knowledge of federal financial-management regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with usability, user experience, or user-interface design.
• Data analytics or reporting experience with SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Experience supporting SAP upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
• Experience developing end-user training materials and delivering knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with strong customer and vendor relationship skills.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies and motivation to learn technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
