SAP Integration Suite Senior Developer

What you will do

• Analyze customer operations, validate requirements, define scope, recommend process improvements, and support level-of-effort estimates.
• Translate business and technical requirements into end-to-end SAP integration solutions.
• Design and develop synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, API-led, and Service-Oriented Architecture integration flows.
• Configure adapters, connectors, mappings, routing rules, security protocols, Trading Partner Management, and electronic data interchange interfaces.
• Develop Groovy and Java scripts, SAP ABAP applications, SAP Proxy and IDoc interfaces, technical specifications, and design documents.
• Test, monitor, troubleshoot, debug, document, and maintain integrations while participating in code reviews and collaborating with functional, technical, security, and business teams.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance; an active clearance is preferred.
• At least 15 years of SAP experience, including at least 10 years working with SAP integration middleware.
• Extensive SAP Integration Suite experience, including Cloud Integration, plus strong experience with SAP Integration Advisor and SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and SAP BTP architecture.
• Deep understanding of point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, publish-subscribe, event-driven, API, middleware, and other integration patterns.
• Experience with electronic data interchange and B2B integration scenarios, including EDIFACT and X12 standards.
• Proficiency with Groovy scripting, XSLT, API management, REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, EDI, JSON, and XML.
• Experience configuring SFTP, REST, SOAP, OData, JDBC, IDoc, and AS2 adapters; developing and managing APIs; and implementing OAuth, SAML, and SSL/TLS security policies.
• Knowledge of SAP IDoc processing and monitoring, SAP Cloud Integration IDoc sender and receiver adapters, SAP ABAP clients, and server proxy technologies.
• Experience developing design documents and technical specifications, conducting unit, integration, and release testing, following development standards, and conducting code reviews.
• Creativity, adaptability, client-facing problem-solving ability, strong organization and time management, excellent written and verbal communication, and professional presence.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Department of Defense logistics, enterprise modernization, or federal government programs.
• Experience with Department of Defense electronic data interchange standards, including the Defense Transportation Electronic Business standard.
• Experience with SAP National Security Services, Impact Level 5 environments, government and commercial transportation systems, or Department of War programs.
• SAP Business Technology Platform Integration Suite training or certification.
• Experience aligning SAP integrations with Department of Defense transportation requirements and familiarity with the Defense Transportation Regulation and Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation.
• Understanding of SAP Clean Core principles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, maintain customer and vendor relationships, comply with data standards and policies, and learn new technologies and methodologies.
