Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead

Location: Remote within the UK with some travel to client sites; security clearance eligibility required, with UK Nationals preferred.

What you will do

• Lead pre-sales and delivery of large SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations across the full project lifecycle.
• Lead workshops with senior finance stakeholders and translate requirements into SAP solutions.
• Configure and test SAP S/4HANA Finance components with technical and integration teams.
• Contribute to solution design, functional specifications, business process mapping, and client documentation.
• Support demos, RFP responses, solution estimations, cutover planning, data validation, and hypercare during go-lives.
• Mentor junior consultants and support knowledge development within the SAP Finance team.

Requirements

• Extensive SAP Finance consulting experience, including 2–3 end-to-end S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong hands-on experience with FI, CO, AP, AR, GL, and AA.
• In-depth understanding of R2R and related finance processes in global enterprise settings.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, embedded analytics, and standard S/4HANA reporting tools.
• Experience creating client documentation, solution designs, and test scripts.
• Ability to work in a matrix delivery team with exposure to agile and waterfall methods.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including confident presentations to Finance Managers, Controllers, and Project Leads.
• Ability to work proactively, independently, and with shifting priorities across multiple clients.
• Experience with SAP Activate or legacy ASAP and agile delivery environments.
• Eligibility for security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to integration with MM, SD, or project systems.
• Hands-on exposure to JIRA, Confluence, Signavio, or Solution Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related discipline.
• SAP Certification in S/4HANA Financial Accounting or Management Accounting.
• CIMA, ACCA, or CPA qualification.
