SAP FICO Functional Consultant (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Home-based, virtual-first role anywhere in the UK; occasional infrequent travel for customer meetings or project requirements. Candidates must be sole UK nationals and must have lived and worked continuously in the UK for the past five years; dual nationals cannot be considered.

What you will do

• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into practical SAP Finance solutions.
• Work directly with clients to understand requirements, challenge proposals where appropriate, and validate solutions.
• Contribute to SAP solution design and collaborate with DXC colleagues, customer teams, and broader functional and technical teams.
• Configure SAP FICO and create functional design specifications, while assessing impacts on processes, reporting, and user interfaces.
• Support business process changes, provide ongoing SAP functional support, and investigate and resolve functional issues with technical teams and customers.
• Contribute across the full project lifecycle, including proposals, solutioning, planning, mobilisation, implementation, and delivery; maintain project documentation and share SAP Finance knowledge.

Requirements

• Strong experience with SAP Finance/FICO in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Experience gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into SAP solutions.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA; S/4HANA experience is particularly valuable.
• Experience supporting or contributing to S/4HANA migration programmes within the relevant functional area.
• Experience across the full SAP project lifecycle, from proposal response and solutioning through planning, mobilisation, implementation, and delivery.
• Experience managing and building relationships with client stakeholders and supporting business process change and improvement initiatives.
• Strong functional configuration and documentation skills, including Requirements Traceability Matrices, Business Process Blueprints, Configuration Documentation, Functional Specifications, Test Scripts, and Training Guides.
• Confidence working collaboratively while taking hands-on ownership of an area of responsibility.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, practical analytical problem-solving skills, ability to understand wider business impacts, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and willing to learn new areas of SAP Finance as customer needs evolve.
• Eligibility for security clearance, sole UK nationality, and continuous residence and work in the UK for the past five years.
