Sr. Web Developer (React)

Location: Hybrid in Trenton, New Jersey, United States of America

What you will do

• Build React interfaces for employee self-service and applicant-facing workflows.
• Implement forms, workflows, dashboards, and front-end components from specifications and design artifacts.
• Integrate front-end components with back-end APIs and enterprise platforms such as Mulesoft.
• Implement and extend a component library or design system with reusable, documented components and automated tests.
• Ensure interfaces conform to Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA, including verification with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation, defect remediation, and conformance documentation.
• Integrate federated authentication such as SAML or OpenID Connect, including session management, role-based views, and secure browser handling of user data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of front-end development experience, including React in production.
• Experience implementing a component library or design system.
• Experience with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA conformance, including verification with assistive technology.
• Experience integrating federated authentication.
• Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end testing tools.
• Experience with a Git-based workflow and pull request review.
• Ability to perform essential job functions safely, conduct repetitive computer-based tasks, and communicate with customers and team members by phone and in person.

Nice to have

• Public sector portal development experience.
• Experience with a state single sign-on provider.
• IAAP accessibility certification such as CPACC or WAS.
• Experience supporting State of New Jersey agencies.
