Software Engineer - UI Developer (React)

Location: Hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area with onsite collaboration required at the San Jose, California office. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Build high-performing web experiences with React, Redux, and Hooks.
• Develop scalable and reliable web applications and component libraries for the CSX enterprise cloud application.
• Design user interfaces for networking functions across web and mobile experiences.
• Build flexible, customizable interfaces that adapt to changing product requirements.
• Improve usability and accessibility across user experiences.
• Expand end-to-end, integration, and unit test coverage and work with CI/CD tooling.

Requirements

• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and already authorized to work in the U.S.
• B.S., M.S., or equivalent degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
• 1–2+ years of professional experience with React, Redux, or a modern frontend framework.
• Strong JavaScript, HTML, CSS3, asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6 knowledge.
• Experience with CSS and Less or Sass in large-scale applications.
• Experience with at least one UI testing framework, such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress, plus familiarity with web build tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node API development.
• Understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and REST APIs.
