Associate Manager, Tactical Operations (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Coppell, Texas, United States; hybrid office work with at least 3 days per week in the office and sustained on-site deployment to new markets for 3–6 month rotations, including deployments of up to 3 months at a time. Willingness to travel and work at new sites is required.

Base salary: $111,000–$160,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the on-site activation of new endpoints, preparing infrastructure, systems, and processes for launch.
• Develop, implement, and enforce launch and site operations playbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Manage launch-phase daily operations, troubleshoot issues, resolve customer problems, and optimize workflows.
• Hire, onboard, train, mentor, and develop permanent local operations staff and leads.
• Build local operating capacity and transition sites to permanent teams before the deployment period ends.
• Report site challenges, playbook effectiveness, and process improvements to Development Test Operations leadership.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in terminal operations, logistics, or site management, including people management experience.
• Deep understanding of terminal workflows, endpoint setup, and operational playbooks.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Willingness to travel and be deployed to new sites for 3–6 month durations.
• Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to manage relationships and resolve operational friction.

Nice to have

• Experience in the autonomous vehicle, trucking, transportation, or logistics industry.
• Experience establishing a new site, terminal, or facility from greenfield through steady-state operations.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, standard work, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience hiring and building a frontline operations team in a new market.
• Comfort working with operational data and BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
