Senior Network Security Engineer IV - UK

Location: UK-Cardiff; other location: UK-Hayes-Hyde Park Hayes. Office / DC based.

Salary: £48,101–£62,315 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience. The package may also include annual bonuses or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

What you will do

• Provide expert technical guidance through phone, ticketing, and automation, owning complex customer network and security issues through resolution.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and escalate issues involving firewalls, load balancers, Windows/Linux administration, and cloud-native tooling.
• Plan, install, maintain, optimize, and document network systems, equipment, applications, protocols, and security policies.
• Design, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities and engineer customized security solutions.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Business Development Consultants, Engineers, and Administrators to support customers and share knowledge.
• Mentor and train lower-level Rackers while adhering to security policies, procedures, and relevant standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of proven experience in Networking/Network Security.
• Working knowledge of NSX-T, Palo Alto, Cisco FirePower, and F5.
• At least one relevant networking certification, such as CCNA or CCNP.
• In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in networking and network security, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently with minimal guidance.
• Ability to lead projects or project steps and take accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.
• Ability to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• Strong accountability, discipline, customer focus, proactive problem-solving, adaptability, collaboration, and commitment to customer success.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Fortigate, Azure, Cisco Nexus, Panorama, ACI, or Cloudflare.
