What you will do

• Define and evolve security tooling in line with cybersecurity architecture and risk objectives.
• Evaluate emerging threats and existing security controls, ensuring controls remain effective for business requirements.
• Translate threat intelligence and risk assessments into security engineering roadmaps.
• Review major application and upgrade designs for security architecture compliance and deliver cross-team security integrations.
• Participate in security incident response by identifying and mitigating information security threats.
• Use leadership input and security metrics to improve the measurable effectiveness of technical controls and security tooling.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology, ideally across infrastructure and development projects and services.
• At least 2 years of experience in information security.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience scripting in at least one of PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience implementing and operating security tooling for Zero Trust Access and Network Segmentation, Public Key Infrastructure, Endpoint and Workload Protection, Web Application Firewalls, Secure Email Gateways and Filters, Cloud Security, and Secure DNS.
• Experience with large-scale SIEM or security data lake implementations.
• Strong understanding of servers, operating systems, networks, cloud services, and infrastructure, together with expert understanding of controls required for their secure operation.
• Experience working in an Azure environment and/or strong knowledge of Azure cloud.
• Organized and methodical experience improving organizational security programs.
• Experience designing and maintaining controls for secure application delivery through continuous development and continuous integration processes.
• Experience building and managing frameworks to test and validate security controls, including measuring their ability to stop threats and attacks early in the kill chain.
• Background working within or implementing a secure development lifecycle.
