What you will do

• Define, manage, monitor, and improve the security posture of the UK business and customer organisations.
• Assess IT security risks and develop, implement, upgrade, or design security systems and strategies.
• Monitor security metrics, conduct security audits, simulate breaches, and test response protocols.
• Manage disaster recovery plans, business continuity, infrastructure security, and compliance with national and international network security standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Train and supervise security staff, support Personnel and Facilities Security Managers, and foster security awareness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT security management.
• In-depth knowledge of IT security principles, practices, technologies, UK security policy, and standards.
• Experience with ISO27001, CE+, Secure by Design, JSP 440, and JSP 604.
• Familiarity with security products and evaluating their performance.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and database security.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proven experience delivering IPSA accreditation to organisations.
• Ability to guide and support all Security function activity and pragmatically apply security policy to build a positive security culture.
• Proven experience delivering security improvements within customer organisations; UK MOD and Government Department experience is of particular interest.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud security, Microsoft 365 Security, and Compliance policies.
