Technical Security Architect (Cloud Security)

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire, United Kingdom; on-site 5 days a week. Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet UK Government and contractual personnel security and applicable residency requirements; some roles may have nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Design and develop technical security architectures for services, platforms, infrastructure, and existing environments.
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, security patterns, data-flow diagrams, and integration specifications.
• Lead security toolset refresh and evergreening programmes, including roadmaps based on risk, vendor support, capability gaps, and strategic alignment.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies through PoCs, PoVs, and technical benchmarking.
• Design cloud, IAM, boundary, network, Zero Trust, secure platform, hardening, logging, monitoring, and incident-detection architectures.
• Apply threat modelling, maintain the security architecture risk register, and communicate mitigation recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Technical Security Architect or Senior Security Engineer designing and delivering security architectures in complex enterprise environments.
• TOGAF and/or SABSA certification.
• CISSP certification or equivalent.
• Deep technical expertise in identity and access management, boundary and perimeter security, cloud security, endpoint security, network security, and secure platform architectures.
• Proven experience leading security toolset refresh, migration, and evergreening programmes.
• Strong experience designing security architectures for AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud environments.
• Ability to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including applicable residency requirements, and hold the right to work in the United Kingdom.
