Sourcing Category Manager - Remedy & ReadyCare (Chemicals & Packaging)

Location: Hybrid role based at the hirify.global plant in Mankato, Minnesota, United States.

Salary: $85,000–$128,000 annual, plus bonus and/or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage approximately $20 million in annual direct spend across chemical and packaging raw material categories, driving best cost, supply continuity, and risk reduction.
• Lead category strategies, supplier relationships, negotiations, volume discounts, long-term contracts, rebate plans, and growth incentives.
• Analyze geopolitical developments, tariffs, regulations, raw material markets, supplier performance, quality, lead times, and cost inputs to develop risk mitigation and cost-reduction strategies.
• Evaluate domestic and international sourcing options, including dual sourcing, new global vendors, vendor allocation, re-sourcing, and import-versus-domestic supplier decisions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Product Management, Manufacturing, the reorder buying group, and the hirify.global Shanghai Global Sourcing Office on product launches, vendor development, supply risk, and supplier issue resolution.
• Manage hirify.global part and vendor numbers, including new part numbers for supplier moves, packaging optimization, and PIRs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 3–5 years of sourcing experience.
• Experience leading category strategies, supplier relationship management, and sourcing initiatives.
• Experience negotiating with outside vendors, including contracts, prices, and reconciliation of differences.
• Experience documenting procedures and internal controls.
• Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, drive improvement, and find solutions.
• Experience controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities, and critical deadlines.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones and locations.
