Senior Backend Engineer (Golang & Python)

Location: Hybrid in Frisco, Texas, United States; on-site work is required on an as-needed basis, and candidates must be within commuting distance of Frisco. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: USD $93,370–$153,400 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Golang and Python.
• Build scalable, resilient, and highly available microservices and distributed systems supporting millions of customer interactions.
• Develop cloud-native solutions and modern infrastructure practices in collaboration with product managers, architects, platform, security, and engineering teams.
• Improve observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, participate in code and architecture reviews, and troubleshoot production incidents through root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing backend systems with Golang and applications and services with Python.
• Experience building and supporting distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of API design, REST services, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building large-scale SaaS or cloud security products.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Experience with security-focused applications, cybersecurity products, or endpoint protection platforms.
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency services.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered platforms, LLM integrations, or data processing pipelines.
