Senior Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, CA; Los Angeles, CA; New York City, NY; or San Francisco, CA

hirify.global is building an AI operating system for healthcare spanning ambient AI, intelligent agents, autonomous revenue cycle management, and integrations with more than 60 EHRs.

What you will do

• Contribute to the technical direction of the revenue cycle management platform by improving architecture, tools, and technologies.
• Build end-to-end products and AI-assisted workflows for healthcare revenue cycle management, including claims submission, remittance posting, denials, appeals, and document extraction.
• Own integration workflows from design and development through deployment, monitoring, and post-launch operation.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, healthcare, customer, and operations stakeholders to define requirements, technical approaches, and priorities.
• Improve reliability, observability, performance, scalability, high availability, and resilience through monitoring, logging, alerting, and infrastructure practices.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, uphold engineering standards, and drive architectural improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development industry experience.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proficiency in backend languages including Python, Go, or C++.
• Experience with Git, GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, and monitoring and alerting tools.
• Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end solutions and making successful architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to comply with information security policies, protect organizational assets, and report confirmed or potential security events and risks.
