Software Engineer (SaaS)

Location: San Antonio, TX, United States; onsite role

Develops Software as a Service solutions, customer-facing systems, and core internal integrations through Agile delivery teams.

What you will do

• Build and maintain systems that interface with clients, internal integrations, and SaaS products.
• Automate processes and create tools that eliminate repetitive work and improve efficiency.
• Work in self-organizing Agile teams with product partners to understand requirements and goals.
• Respond to product issues and support teams in investigating and resolving incidents.
• Prepare wireframes and mock-ups for proposed designs.
• Conduct peer reviews, enforce development and security standards, and guide junior and mid-level developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or four-year university, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience with OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, C#, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON, relational data models and databases, and troubleshooting advanced SQL performance issues, including writing and tuning advanced SQL queries.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies, potentially including C#, Node, ASP.NET, JavaScript/jQuery, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS.
• Extensive experience with relational databases and general knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to microservice architecture and cloud-native services, including AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate, SNS, SQS, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
• Experience in a continuous integration environment covering build, release, and deployment.
• Knowledge of Agile principles and experience with Scrum or Kanban.
• General knowledge of domain-driven design, three-tier architecture, and other design patterns.
• Knowledge of team development tools and source control, such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Git; knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Vue, Knockout, React, or Polymer.
• Willingness and ability to adapt to and learn new technologies and processes; proficiency with general office machines and MS Office tools.
• Ability to sit for long periods while analyzing, modifying, and testing software programs, and to lift or move 20–40 lbs. of computer-related objects, manuals, or office items.
