Software Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States; onsite role with 10% travel.

Salary: $132,000.00–$181,500.00 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions using Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Develop complex SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, schemas, data models, and indexing strategies.
• Work with KDB+/q or similar time-series databases to process and analyze large volumes of time-based data.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion, ETL, synchronization, backup, recovery, security, and high-availability solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams on enterprise application integration, code reviews, system design, production support, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience developing PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and database objects.
• Experience with PostgreSQL administration, query optimization, indexing, and replication.
• Experience with time-series databases such as KDB+/q or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience with database migration, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages, plus familiarity with Git or similar source control systems.

• Experience with high-volume data processing and real-time analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable database architectures.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with data streaming technologies and messaging frameworks.
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
