Jr Technical Business Analyst (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Remote within the United States; preferred to be based in Virginia or New York. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $61,232.00–$104,094.00 annually.

What you will do

• Support technology delivery for energy-efficiency tracking and reporting solutions, including requirements gathering, testing, validation, and implementation.
• Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements with project teams and stakeholders.
• Analyze business processes and translate business needs into clear requirements and supporting documentation.
• Support system and user acceptance testing by developing test cases, documenting results, and tracking issues.
• Assist with data analysis, reporting, validation, project updates, and dependency tracking.
• Develop training materials and provide technical assistance to end users under the guidance of senior business analysts and project managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in IT business analysis, software delivery, data analysis, or a related field.
• Experience or coursework involving requirements gathering and documentation, business process analysis, software testing, or data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative project team.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and Agile or other project delivery methodologies.
• Exposure to requirements documentation, use cases, process flows, test plans, or test scripts.
• Familiarity with SQL, HTML, Microsoft Power BI, Cognos, or similar reporting and data tools.
• Experience with issue tracking or project collaboration tools such as Jira.
• Interest in technology solutions supporting energy efficiency, utility, or other complex business programs.
