Operations Manager (Warehouse)

Location: Walton Hills - Krick Rd, United States; onsite. Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. The role works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery and includes travel or visits to each site as required.

Compensation up to $95k depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead continual improvement across warehouse functions in support of corporate 6S and Lean initiatives.
• Execute safety plans, enforce procedures, and ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Monitor safety, returns and allowances, on-time shipment, quality, and Lean performance objectives.
• Evaluate equipment purchases, manage preventive and corrective maintenance, and maximize equipment availability.
• Establish goals and assess competency with Plant Managers or Department Leaders; hire, train, motivate, discipline, and review warehouse employees as required.
• Coordinate with site and corporate representatives, support customer issues and onsite visits, attend regional and corporate meetings, and purchase necessary warehouse supplies.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Business or Engineering, progress toward such a degree, or equivalent work/life experience.
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, Lean practices, and sales functions.
• Training in leadership skills, team building, motivation, strategic planning, finance, and time management.
• PC literacy, including competency with standard office automation and productivity software.
• Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing is required for employment because the position is safety sensitive.
