Materials and Warehouse Operations Manager (Robotics)

Location: On-site at the Santa Clara, CA headquarters; must have and maintain US work authorization. A relocation stipend is offered for candidates relocating to the Santa Clara office who currently live more than 50 miles away.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 base salary plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Manage receiving, storage, inventory transactions, material issuance, and assembly-kit preparation for production.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and controlled check-in and check-out procedures.
• Translate BOMs, work orders, and manufacturing schedules into kit lists while coordinating engineering changes, part revisions, and build readiness with Hardware Engineering and Build teams.
• Identify shortages, discrepancies, and supply risks, coordinating resolutions and communicating schedule impacts across Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing.
• Organize storage and kitting layouts, oversee inbound freight and shipments, and coordinate incoming quality inspections.
• Maintain material records in spreadsheets and inventory software, improve processes, and uphold material-handling, warehousing, logistics, and specialized-compliance protocols.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related role, including hands-on support for hardware manufacturing.
• Experience translating BOMs, work orders, or production schedules into material and kitting requirements and managing changes to those requirements.
• Experience with receiving, inventory transactions, material issuance, cycle counts, and discrepancy reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for material records, quantity reconciliation, kit tracking, and shortage tracking.
• Experience using inventory management software or ERP/MRP tools for material records and transactions.
• Ability to prioritize daily materials work independently, identify risks, and implement practical inventory or warehouse process improvements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment as part of a small team.
• Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 30 pounds; must have and maintain US work authorization.

Nice to have

• 6+ years of experience in materials management, logistics, warehouse management, or a similar role at a company with a hardware manufacturing function.
• Experience working at a fast-paced start-up and designing or improving a warehouse organization system.
• Experience interacting directly with suppliers to support on-time delivery.
• Understanding of domestic and international shipping requirements, shipping documentation, HTS codes, ECCN basics, Incoterms, and controlled-item handling.
