Assistant General Manager (Logistics)

Location: Onsite in Moonachie, New Jersey, United States; flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Compensation: Up to $120,000 annually, based on prior experience.

What you will do

• Oversee the full overnight last-mile delivery operation, including warehouse, driver, dispatch, and team-leader operations.
• Create and maintain a strong safety culture and eliminate operational risks.
• Support, coach, and lead a large team while developing team leaders who can drive business results.
• Own operational KPIs for assigned shifts and workstreams, including delivery success rate, safety, labor, productivity, and route efficiency.
• Use process and project management skills to deliver measurable operational improvements.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and other shift leaders to support seamless 24-hour operations; stand in for the Site General Manager as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operations leadership, including at least 2 years of direct-report and performance-management experience.
• Proven record of delivering results against safety, compliance, and operational KPIs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, shift, and work area, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to collect and assess complex data and use insights to formulate, propose, and deploy effective business solutions.
• Proficiency with operations management systems, routing software, and productivity tools.
• Strong understanding of last-mile delivery logistics.

Nice to have

• Strong financial acumen, including experience managing labor budgets and operational P&L elements.
• OSHA, DOT, or other relevant safety certifications.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
